Demolition Underway On Last Remaining Buildings From 2022 Canton Apartment Fire

Demolition is underway on one of the only surviving buildings of the Canton Apartment Complex that caught fire in 2022.

The $65 million luxury apartment complex was weeks away from completion when an electrical spark caused a chain reaction that ignited all 325 units.

Rubberized roofing material made the fire difficult to put out and burned for nearly three days.

The building was considered a total loss once crews got the blaze under control.

It is still the largest commercial fire in the city's history.
