1 Dead After Accidental Shooting, Police Say

One person is dead after a shooting Saturday afternoon in southeastern Oklahoma City, police say.

Oklahoma City Police said at around 2 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a shooting call at a business near the 1200 block of Southeast 29th Street.

After arriving on scene, officers said they found 17-year-old victim with a gunshot wound.

OCPC said the victim was moved to a hospital in the area where they later died.

Police said it appears the victim and another person were handling a firearm when it accidentally discharged, striking and killing the victim.
