Description
A slaw inspired by a popular chain restaurant, perfect for your summer BBQ.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 4 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 cups cabbage, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups carrots, chopped
- 3 tablespoons grated white onion
Instructions
- Prep: Use a food processor to quickly grate the fresh cabbage and carrot.
- Prep: Place in a large bowl.
- Prep: Use a box grater to grate 1/2 white onion.
- Mix: Add 3 tablespoons of grated onion to the bowl.
- Prep: Set aside.
- Combine: In a medium sized mixing bowl whisk together the buttermilk, mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
- Combine: Pour the sauce over the top of the fresh cabbage mixture.
- Combine: Use a large spoon to stir together.
- Chill Overnight: Cover and chill overnight.
