1 Person Dead After Being Struck By Car In SW Oklahoma City

One person has died after they were struck by a vehicle Friday morning in southwestern Oklahoma City, police say.

The Oklahoma City Police Department said they responded after a man was found lying in the road near Southwest 29th Street and South Virginia Avenue.

Investigators on scene said a wheelchair was also found near the man.

OCPD said the driver involved stopped and cooperated with police.

Southwest 29th Street has been closed in both directions as OCPD investigates.

The victim's name has not been released.
