Tacky Or Gift-Fishing? Couple's Wedding 'Invitations' To Non-Invited Guests Spark Online Controversy

A bride and groom's wedding invitations are circulating on social media for being "greedy" and a way of "gift-fishing".

According to an article by The New York Post, the couple sent out separate 'invitations' to those who weren't invited to the ceremony but asked on the card to "join in spirit", hoping that this would inspire those recipients to send gifts.

A picture of the 'invitation' is going around Facebook, with many people saying that this card would go right in the trash, and others saying it was tacky.
