OSBI: 1 Dead, 1 In Custody Linked To Chickasha Homicide

One person is dead, and another is in custody after a homicide in Chickasha, according to The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.

The Chickasha Police Department requested OSBI's assistance in a homicide on July 15, OSBI confirmed.

Around 6:45 a.m. on July 15, Grady County Sheriff's Department responded to a shots fired call at an apartment complex near South 9th Street and West Almar Drive, OSBI stated.

Deputies found a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound, and despite life-saving measures, the individual was pronounced deceased on the scene, according to OSBI.

A man was placed into custody, and charges are pending at this time. Officials have not released any additional information on the suspect.

OSBI stated that this is an ongoing investigation.
