Overnight fight at event center leaves 1 dead

A fight at an event center left a man dead early Saturday morning in southwest OKC, police said.

Police said the fight began inside the event center, but continued after both parties were escorted outside near South Portland Avenue and Southwest 20th Street.

Police said that when they arrived on the scene, the victim was unconscious. Authorities say that the victim was transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Police say the victim died from blunt force trauma.

Police said no suspect is in custody because security ordered everyone to leave the scene following the altercation.
