An Edmond man was arrested and is accused of a string of cybercrimes, and sending explicit pictures to multiple women.

Edmond Police say one of their own officers helped to widen the scope of the investigation.

The investigation began in 2022 when an Edmond Police officer began receiving explicit photos from an unknown Instagram account.

Court filings reveal during the investigation detectives discovered a dozen more alleged victims.

The Edmond Police officer reported receiving unsolicited sexual images in September of 2022. The officer said in the background of the explicit images were innocent photos of her and her friends that had been taken from her Facebook account.

In a police report, the officer said she was "deeply disturbed by the pictures."

The officer explained "she was scared someone was watching her," and that she was "losing sleep over the incident," and feared the person responsible was "someone from her past or an arrestee."

She also detailed an incident where she searched her house with a gun after she found something out of place, and feared someone was inside.

In unfamiliar territory, the officer told the detective, “I can’t believe I’m being like this, I’m a cop.”

A search warrant for an Instagram account uncovered a string of victims who told detectives, after receiving the images, how they lived "in fear of being sexually assaulted or raped."

Police identified the account's user as Jezrell Leslie.

Leslie was working at an Oklahoma City sports bar on Thursday when he was confronted by police and arrested.

The incident was captured on police bodycam video.

Police: Do you remember me?
Leslie: Yes.
Police: I have an arrest warrant for you, so I need you to turn around and put your hands behind your back.

At the beginning of their investigation, police said Leslie had recently graduated from a university in Edmond with a degree in criminal justice.

Police said Leslie knew all his victims who he met at school, the gym where he exercised, or in his hometown of Fairview.

Police initially confronted Leslie in Mississippi, where he was living in 2022.

When detectives asked Leslie why he chose to terrorize his friends, reports show he responded, “I just wanted to see what their reaction was."

At the start of the investigation, Leslie was enlisted with the Air Force.

Police say because of this case, he was discharged from the military.
