Two people were taken into custody after a police chase involving a stolen vehicle Wednesday morning in Oklahoma City, according to police.

Oklahoma City Police said they located a stolen car from North Carolina involving a missing woman, and followed the vehicle onto Interstate 40.

After following the car onto the interstate, OCPD said the vehicle fled, speeding away at an unsafe speed, leading to the chase being called off.

After eventually catching up with the fleeing vehicle, OCPD said they eventually found a safe location to perform a tactical maneuver, ending the pursuit near Northwest 29th Street and North May Avenue.

According to OCPD, two people were taken into custody, one of whom is believed to be the missing woman, who admitted to officers on the scene she went willingly with the driver and was not kidnapped.

OCPD said the fleeing vehicle may have hit another car in the pursuit.

So far, no names have been released.
