Nearly a month ago, Corey Jackson and his girlfriend, Samantha Richardson, were set on fire in an unprovoked attack while sleeping along a fence line in northwest Oklahoma City.

Police arrested 70-year-old Michael Madison, who faces several felony charges.

Jackson was released from the hospital soon after, but Richardson remains in a medically induced coma.

"She had surgery Wednesday," Jackson said. "The doctor said everything was good. They grafted her face and her back. She's still in a coma. They put her in a coma so she could heal quicker and better without any pain."

Jackson suffered extensive burns across his arms, but Richardson's burns covered virtually her entire body.

He visits her every day, taking the bus without a car or a place to stay.

"She's a bomb," he said. "She's TNT, a stick of dynamite."

Friends and family of the couple have started fundraisers to help with expenses associated with the recovery and find a place to stay. Click here for more information.

"I want everybody and anybody, if you can, just pray for Sam," Jackson said. "Pray that she has a speedy recovery. And, because I'm quite sure when she comes back, she'll have a story to tell."
