As Oklahoma City students head back to the classroom on Tuesday, drivers around the area may start seeing school buses on their morning commute.
However, Oklahoma City Public Schools said they could use at least ten more bus drivers.
OKCPS said they offer paid training for bus driver positions, and needs people with clean driving records who want to have a positive impact.
"I work hard but I play hard also, and that's what I want for our students," OKCPS Superintendent Dr. Jamie Polk said. "To reach their fullest potential, but enjoy life."
OKCPS says every student riding the buses on Tuesday, and every day of the school year, should know their home address and phone number.
The district said it wants bus riders to be confident in getting from their home to the bus stop, and to arrive 10 minutes early.
For parents wanting to make sure their children have everything they need, they could also include an index card with all the necessary information in their child's backpack.
