Tulsa mayoral candidates Karen Keith and Monroe Nichols were neck and neck all night long, both moving on to November's runoff election.
The difference between second and third place was only 436.
“We're just ready to get back to work, we're going to run a good nonpartisan race, which is what we did the first time and we hope to bring everybody in from the outside,” Karen Keith said. “We're going to win this thing in November.”
When asked what's next on the campaign trail, Keith was all about engagement.
“We're going to continue to engage with out citizens,” Keith said. “Because what is so great about running for office is hearing what our citizens have to say and what are they thinking about, what are the issues? Being able to continue to do that and bringing people to the middle and to work on local government, you can't you don't need to be on the fringes. You need to be in the middle and be able to bring collaboration together and make things work. And I'm so grateful that I have the FOP, you know, and I've got the firefighters, and I have the development community all supporting me, and I think we'll bring everybody back together, and we'll push this thing forward and get it done.”
