Woman Arrested, Accused Of DUI And Blocking Plane On Runway In Tulsa

A woman was arrested and accused of blocking a plane with a vehicle on an airport runway in Tulsa while driving drunk, police say.

Tulsa Police said Bonnie Campbell was inside an SUV at the Tulsa Jones Airport.

A pilot called and told police that he was taxiing his plane when he saw Campbell on the ramp.

Police said that the pilot walked up to the SUV and saw beer cans and smelled alcohol.

Officers used a breathalyzer on Campbell that displayed she was four times over the legal limit.

Campbell told police she was visiting her family who had a hangar at the airport.

Officers arrested her for aggravated DUI and she was hospitalized for treatment.
