Student Arrested, Accused Of Making Threat At McAlester Public Schools

McAlester Public Schools said a middle school student was arrested and accused of making a threatening post on social media that included a photo of them holding a weapon.

The district said it was made aware of the post on Wednesday evening and immediately contacted police, who arrested the student.

The McAlester superintendent said all school buildings will have an increased police presence on Thursday as a precaution.
