Body Recovered Near Creek In Ottawa County, Authorities Investigating

An investigation is underway after a man's body was found near a creek in Ottawa County on Wednesday.

The Grand River Dam Authority said Miami Police responded to Tar Creek Bridge just after 9 a.m. after two citizens spotted a body.

Miami Police discovered the scene was within GRDA jurisdiction, and they were called to investigate along with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities confirmed that a male body had been recovered. No names or details have been released at this time.

Now the GRDA and OSBI are investigating.
