An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Tulsa Wednesday night.
Flight records show the plane was headed from Nashville to Los Angeles when it had to land in Tulsa at about 6:30 p.m.
News On 6’s Osage Casino Skycam Network showed emergency vehicles escorting the plane along the runway at Tulsa International Airport.
No one was hurt.
The plane has since re-boarded and taken off to LAX.
American Airlines issued the following statement:
"American Airlines flight 1409, with service from Nashville (BNA) to Los Angeles (LAX), diverted to Tulsa (TUL) due to a possible mechanical issue. The aircraft landed safely at TUL and taxied to the gate under its own power. Our maintenance team inspected the aircraft and the flight will re-depart for LAX shortly. We never want to disrupt our customers' travel plans and we apologize for the trouble this caused."
