U.S. Marshals Arrest Woman After Shots Fired During Search Warrant Attempt

U.S. Marshals arrested Sonya David, who they say had been on the run after agents fired shots at her during an attempted search warrant near Pine and Harvard.

U.S. Marshals arrested Sonya David, who they say had been on the run after agents fired shots at her during an attempted search warrant near Pine and Harvard.

The incident occurred during a search related to child endangerment and DUI charges after David had missed multiple court dates.

None of the agents involved were injured in the encounter. Marshals located David around 11 a.m. Saturday at a homeless encampment just a few blocks from where the shots were fired.

Officials have not disclosed whether David was hit by the gunfire.

According to court records, David has a history of DUI and drug possession convictions.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is now handling the investigation.
