Several animal welfare groups gathered on Saturday to help teach kids about animal safety and to have some Halloween fun.
The lawn at Tulsa Animal Welfare was covered in tents and games for its Howl and Growl Animal Safety Event.
Organizers said the goal is to teach kids what to do around animals, especially if they come across one they don't know.
"Do you freeze, do you run? That's really one of the things that we're focused on, teaching kids that you don't run, because that engages the chase response from animals and that just makes things worse," said Colton Jones with Tulsa Animal Welfare.
This is the fire year of the event.
