A possible road rage crash on the southbound off-ramp of U.S. Highway 169 at 41st Street sent two people to the hospital on Sunday, authorities said.

The Tulsa Fire Department said it happened around 11 a.m. and the driver of one of the vehicles was trapped inside when authorities arrived on the scene.

The driver of the Impala was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A female passenger sustained minor injuries and was also transported to a hospital.

Tulsa police said that the incident may have been related to road rage involving two vehicles, with reports suggesting that the Impala was traveling in excess of 90 mph before the crash.

The other vehicle involved left the scene but returned later.
