One person is dead after a crash Sunday afternoon in Creek County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP said at around 2:40 p.m., a vehicle traveling eastbound on the Turner Turnpike began to hydroplane approximately 3 miles west of Kellyville.

After hydroplaning, OHP said the vehicle struck a second vehicle, a semitruck driven by 53-year-old William Dickey of Wichita, Texas.

OHP said the first vehicle then departed the roadway to the left before striking a concrete barrier. Both vehicles then caught fire.

Dickey was uninjured in the crash, however, OHP said the driver of the other vehicle, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead on scene by the Kellyville Fire Department.
