Rahjai Harris rushed for two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including a 24-yard run with just over two minutes left, lifting East Carolina to a 38-31 win over Tulsa on Thursday night. The victory made ECU (6-4, 4-2 AAC) bowl-eligible for the second time since 2015.
Harris also scored a 23-yard touchdown earlier in the quarter, though a missed extra point left ECU trailing by one. Tulsa (3-7, 1-5) nearly responded, reaching the ECU 7-yard line with 1:52 remaining. However, Kamdyn Benjamin was stopped on a fourth-and-goal run, and the Pirates held on for the win. "If it works, everyone's stoked. If it doesn't everyone thinks it's the worst call ever," said Kevin Wilson on the 4th and goal call for Tulsa. Tulsa will travel to Tampa next week to play USF on Saturday.
