With freezing temperatures sweeping across the state, Oklahoma City shelters are opening their doors to provide refuge for those experiencing homelessness. To ensure accessibility, Embark is offering free transit to overnight shelters during extreme weather. Bus routes can be found HERE.
Homeless Alliance Day Shelter, 1729 NW 3rd St.
- Open from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day.
Homeless Alliance Winter Shelter, 1601 NW 4th Street
- Open 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. every day through March 31.
- Has up to 300 extra beds.
- Bus routes 008,007,038,009 MOE can be used to get there.
- Allows pets
City Rescue Mission, 800 W California Ave.
- Open 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Can take 25 men and 25 women.
- Bus routes 009,012, 016, and MOE can be used to get there.
Sisu Youth Services, 2129 NW 30th St.
- Open from 4 p.m. to 9 a.m.
- Has about 5 extra beds.
- Takes ages 15-24.
- Bus route 008 can be used to get there.
PIVOT, 201 NE 50th St.
- Open from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Has about 4 extra beds.
- Takes ages 16-24.
- Bus route 018 can be used to get there.
