A gas plant fire in Hennessey, Oklahoma, resulted in the temporary closure of a nearby highway and an evacuation order for residents on Sunday, authorities say.

Ben Olszewski with Mustang Fuel Corporation said the Mustang Gas Plant near near E. 650 Road and US-81 caught fire around 10 a.m. on Jan. 12th.

The employee onsite was able to shut the gas down and avoid injury. Olszewski said the plant worked with local law enforcement to close the US-81 and evacuate a quarter-mile around the plant as a precaution.

Now, the fire is out and no injuries were reported. It's not clear as to what caused the fire to start.
