Tuesday on the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch we're going behind the scenes of Celtic Throne 2 an Irish dancing show happening in the metro.

The Sibling Duo

Siblings Vienna and Jude, have been traveling and performing together for this show. They shared their experiences of being part of the Celtic Throne show, which is being performed at the Armstrong Auditorium.

Jude, the lead performer, said that coming back to the OKC metro area is great because of how engaged the audience is.

"One of my favorite things is that the crowd just loves it," said Jude. "So we had our show opener on Sunday for CT2, because we've been doing the first show for years before that, and this was the first time we've done our second show, and people were cheering, almost like it was a sporting event, like they were getting in this the second show is a lot more story-driven. It tells the story of Olaf Ola, who was an Irish sage and legislator who preserved the royal dynasty of Jerusalem in Ireland. So he's fighting to keep the royal dynasty alive. And there's a big fight scene at the end, and people just get really into it. It's like, it's almost like you're out of the fourth quarter of a basketball game."

Action-Packed Performance

The siblings discussed the action-packed nature of the show, with scenes of Jerusalem burning and soldiers in battle. They share how the audience's enthusiastic response after the first few scenes let them know they were in for a great performance.

"And we finished that, that section of the number, and just the audience went wild, and we're like, Okay, this is going to be good," said Vienna

Touring with Young Performers

One of the unique aspects of Celtic Throne is that it features over 100 performers, including dancers as young as 5 years old. Jude and Vienna explain how they manage to tour with these young performers, emphasizing the importance of being caring, loving, and encouraging to bring out the best in them.

"Well, with young children, you just have to be really caring, you have to be really loving, you have to be really clear and direct, but we just treat all the kids like family," said Jude.

Upcoming Show and Ticket Information

The next Celtic Throne 2 performance is happening Sunday, Jan 19 at 2 pm at the Armstrong Auditorium in Edmond. Tickets can be purchased either at the venue or online at CelticThrone.com.
