OKC for Soccer, the initiative driving the transformation of professional soccer in Oklahoma City, has unveiled its “Name the Team!” campaign, giving fans the opportunity to shape the identity of the city’s new men's professional soccer team.

The campaign invites fans to participate in a poll to suggest potential team names, colors, and branding for the club, set to debut in 2027.

The poll is open through Jan. 31 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Additional engagement efforts include listening sessions and a future online vote to determine the final name.

“It’s such a rare opportunity to name a professional sports team, and we can’t wait to see what fans come up with,” said Court Jeske, president of OKC for Soccer. “We always want the club to reflect and represent our ambitious city. Getting the team name and colors right is integral to that commitment. We know the OKC community is full of creativity and local pride, and we can’t wait to see it revealed throughout this process.”

OKC for Soccer has also announced a collaboration with designer Matthew Wolff to develop the team’s visual identity, including its crest and colors.

“As we build a club that reflects the vibrant and ambitious city that OKC is today, we want to work with people and organizations that can help elevate what we’re doing for fans both citywide and around the world,” said Jeske. “Matthew Wolff’s work speaks for itself: It’s iconic, globally respected, and designed to resonate for decades. We are thrilled to have Matthew on board to help create a brand identity that will reflect our club and represent OKC.”

Wolff, known for his sports branding work, emphasized the importance of creating a lasting identity that resonates with the community.

“My goal is always to create an identity that’s long-lasting and that properly reflects the community,” said Wolff. “The OKC for Soccer project is unique, and I’m looking forward to helping the club create a visual identity for the men’s team that really resonates with people in OKC and beyond.”

Wolff gained recognition during his tenure with Nike, designing more than 400 apparel pieces, including celebrated World Cup kits for France and Nigeria. His work in soccer branding includes designs for LAFC, the Chicago Fire, and NWSL teams such as NJ/NY Gotham FC and San Diego Wave. He is also a co-founder of Vermont Green FC. Beyond soccer, Wolff has contributed to brand projects for the Minnesota Twins, the Los Angeles Clippers, and esports organization 100 Thieves.
