The Oklahoma County Board of Commissioners has approved an agreement with Flintco, LLC, to provide Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) services for the county’s new Behavioral Care Center and its associated infrastructure. The agreement totals $44.4 million, with funding allocated from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and the county’s 2080 Capital Project budget.

During the meeting on Tuesday, the commissioners confirmed the allocation of $38.96 million in ARPA funds and $5.44 million from the capital project budget to cover the construction costs, pending final encumbrance of funds.

In December, the board voted on a critical deadline for federal ARPA funds. Commissioners emphasized the importance of allocating the $40 million before the federal cutoff of Dec. 31, ensuring progress on the behavioral health facility.
