Paul Timmons named acting jail director at Oklahoma County Detention Center

Paul Timmons has been appointed acting jail director of the Oklahoma County Detention Center, the facility announced in a press release.

Timmons, who currently serves as the chief of personnel and administration, has decades of leadership and law enforcement experience. He joined the detention center in 2022 as chief of investigations before transitioning to his current role, where he has focused on operational efficiency and staff well-being, according to the release.

Before joining the detention center, Timmons retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol following a long career in public safety. Officials said his experience in law enforcement and administration will guide the facility through the transition.

As acting jail director, Timmons will oversee daily operations and ensure procedures align with safety, security, and efficiency standards, the release stated.
