Two juveniles are in custody in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old inside his Tulsa apartment over the weekend, police said.

Officers said Adavion Herring, 17, was shot and killed early Saturday morning at the Brighton Park Apartments near 51st Street and Yale Avenue.

Witnesses told police they saw two people outside the apartment before multiple shots were fired through a bedroom window around 2 a.m.

Less than 12 hours later, officers said they found a 17-year-old suspect and another juvenile in a car near 41st Street and Memorial Drive. Both were armed at the time of their arrest, police said.

The 17-year-old suspect is facing a first-degree murder charge. Investigators are working to determine how the second juvenile may have been involved.

Authorities believe the shooting was targeted. Three witnesses were inside the apartment with the victim, but they were not injured.
