A Yukon Public Schools teacher involved in a recent 'social media incident' is no longer employed by the district, officials confirmed Thursday.
The teacher, whose name has not been released, was placed on leave earlier this week after a viral video from Oklahoma Predator Prevention (OPP) showed members of the group confronting him about alleged online conversations with an undercover member posing as a 15-year-old.
In the video, OPP founder Russell Goodwin is seen entering the teacher’s home and questioning him about the alleged online interaction. “We’re with Oklahoma Predator Prevention. We want to talk about who you’re talking to online,” Goodwin says in the footage.

The teacher has not been arrested or charged, but the Oklahoma City Police Department is handling the investigation according to a news release from the district. The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is also reviewing the matter, with State Superintendent Ryan Walters calling the incident “deeply concerning” and emphasizing the need for vigilance in protecting children.

In a statement, Yukon Public Schools said it is offering counseling services to students and staff affected by the situation. "Yukon Public Schools remains dedicated to ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students and staff," the district said.
For further inquiries, officials have directed questions to the Oklahoma City Police Department, which continues to investigate the incident.
