Miss Oklahoma City, Elizabeth Gibson joined the News 9 team on the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch Thursday to talk about a special event happening in the metro Friday.

Gibson is partnering with Neighborhood Jam to raise funds for the American Heart Association’s Oklahoma chapter during a special event on Feb. 21.

The fundraiser will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all Neighborhood Jam locations in the Oklahoma City metro area. A portion of all sales, including a special heart-healthy quinoa power bowl, will be donated to AHA-OK to support local heart health initiatives.

"The Oklahoma American Heart Association and Neighborhood Jam have created a special quinoa power bowl that is very heart healthy, very delicious. So go out and get it," Gibson said.

Gibson, a figure skater and actor, is the 101st Miss Oklahoma City and the first legacy titleholder, following in her mother’s footsteps. She hopes other Miss Oklahoma contestants will join in supporting the event.

No tickets are required, and attendees can visit any Neighborhood Jam location in the metro area to contribute.
