Deborah Ferguson is supporting her 15-year-old son William Conley who lays in an OKC Integris hospital struggling to stay alive just hours after her husband lost his life to a wildfire in Chandler on Friday.

“I miss my husband, he was my everything,” said a very emotional Deborah Ferguson.

Deborah said it was her husband, Allen Ferguson, who saved her son after fighting a fire in a pasture belonging to her grandmother.

She said they were trying to get away from the fire on a four-wheeler but heavy smoke caused them to wreck into a tree.

“My husband pulled him all the way from the fire to the road so that they could get help and then he talked to him the whole way here in the ambulance to make sure he was ok,” Deborah said.

Allen died and Conley suffered third degree burns on 67 percent of his body.

A tearful and heartbroken Deborah said, “He’s going to lose his left hand and all of his fingers on his right hand.

Family and friends have been a huge support to Deborah since all of this happened.

“It's tough. It's really tough to hold everything together. One minute you're talking to somebody, the next minute you get a phone call. Life just changes so quick,” added Bill Jungferman who was a best friend to Allen.

Deborah said Conley loves to play the guitar, wrestle and do civil war reenactments.

She said Conley is facing multiple surgeries and will also have skin grafts.

The family has started a GoFundMe to help with these mounting bills.
