Police in Chicago took to the streets to protest charges being dropped against actor Jussie Smollett for allegedly faking a hate crime assault. I gave you My 2 Cents, and a lot of you apparently feel the same way.
Gerald from Newcastle first, "That was an insult to the law enforcement and a message saying money buys the law."
Patricia writes, "If non-actor minority did the same thing they would go to jail. Why should he get a pass? Because he knows the Obamas?"
JC from Konawa mad at prosecutors, "Bad enough they went behind the police backs. Really makes their jobs that much harder! Money talks!"
Fran says, "Makes you want to upchuck! Sad times we live in... Crime! No wonder!"
Sara from Hinton, "He got a pass and still couldn't appreciate it and had to run his mouth."
Kathy from Ponca City, "I am not happy that the charges were dropped! I think he should go to jail! I am afraid there will be more stunts like this since it worked for him!"
Brandi, "His life is ruined, so I'm good. Sometimes that's just as good."
Finally, this from Judy, "Absolutely disgraceful. Someone received a hefty payoff, and he walked out with a big smirk on his face. Disgusting."
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's Your 2 Cents.
