Monday night was one year since I tipped over a ladder I was on and hurt my hip. It was a year full of reminders about the kindness and caring of Oklahomans.
I also learned not to be so judgmental about people with handicapped parking placards who might not appear to need them.
Here's what you had to say about it:
Ann from Del City said, "You truly have turned what could have been a problem into a life lesson and gained strength."
Kris in Wewoka, "Loved your 2 cents! Sorry your still having issues, prayers for continued healing! I used to be a bit judgmental till I got older!"
Joan said, "I have been fighting cancer for almost eight years. I also have a placard and probably people wonder why I have it."
From Falecia, "So thankful for your progress. Look how far you've come!"
Vivian commented on My News 9 colleagues who've helped me, "From experience, I can say that friends are invaluable in an injury situation!
Diana wrote, "This opens your eyes that we don't always see the disability and we shouldn't judge."
Patsy's husband had arthritis, "Outwardly he looked fine, but some days it was, as you said, really bad. He got some embarrassing stares and comments."
Finally, Marilyn in Norman, "We never know just by looking how a person is feeling physically."
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's Your 2 Cents.
