The new downtown park is under construction, but it's missing an element that I think could make it famous.
The Land Run Monument that will soon be completed with the 43rd, 44th, and 45th pieces. It sits in virtual obscurity at the end of the Bricktown Canal.
Leaders say it's too late to include it in the main part of the park, by the arena and future Convention Center, but it's never too late.
Here's what you had to say.
"So many don;t even know it is there. Needs to be where everyone can see and enjoy it! Cmon OKC," viewer Lisa said.
Diana wrote, "Kelly, I had no idea it was even there until I saw it on the evening news yesterday. It's beautiful!!!"
Connie in Woodward said, "I'm extremely disappointed that OKC did not see the benefits of adding it to the new park. Truly a missed opportunity!!"
"The sculpture needs to be a highlight, not hidden away!" said Debbie in Edmond.
JerryKay commented, "A true link to our heritage and they just ignore it. How sad. The sculptor has done an amazing job."
I'll be Lisa from Edmond is in the majority. She writes, "I live in OKC, have visited Bricktown a countless number of times, and have still never seen it in person."
Lisa in Elk City said, "..Whoever thought the placement of current location was a good idea "shame on you!" Move the statue now!!"
