Oklahoma City police say a baby died this week from child abuse. The baby’s family is now speaking out with a message for others.

Eight-month-old Amelia Grace Tuell died from her injuries Monday.

“She had the brightest eyes and laugh, she loved to be talked to and she didn’t get to experience the life that a baby should have,” said Amelia’s aunt, Mandie Langway.

Amelia's mother’s boyfriend, Michael Bradley was caring for her over the weekend inside the southeast Oklahoma City trailer they shared.

Bradley told authorities he found Amelia "slumped over on the floor, face down." He says when he picked up the baby, he "tripped over a baby gate" and "might have fallen on top of the victim."

“She was full of life, beautiful, loveable…and seeing her take her last breath is something that will haunt us forever,” Langway said.

The family wants everyone to know deaths like Amelia's can be prevented.

“If you notice any child being abused, don’t be afraid to speak about it. This could be you. This could be them one day sitting right here with a loved one gone,” Langway said.

Bradley told investigators he blacks out when he gets mad, and says if he did anything to Amelia, he doesn't remember. He is jailed on a first-degree murder complaint.
