NORMAN, Oklahoma - An OU professor facing child sex complaints admits to police he likes to hug, kiss, cuddle, and stroke young girls.
A search warrant shows Dwain Pellebon admits he developed several close relationships with young girls through the years.
The report also shows the OU professor saved multiple Facebook conversations to his computer.
By text, a mother explains she monitors who her kids talk to on Facebook and was shocked to see Dwain Pellebon was one of them.
The mother says, "I told him that he was an old man and didn't have any reason to talk to young girls."
A search warrant shows Pellebon is accused of having several inappropriate relationships with young girls ages nine to 13 before police arrested him on a rape complaint last week.
David Smith is Pellebon's attorney. "We live in a time where any child can make any accusation against any person and be believed."
Reports show Pellebon admits "he likes to hug, kiss, cuddle, and stroke young girls he's close to" and admitted to police" he struggled with viewing pornography and masturbation and had only viewed child pornography one time."
Pellebon's attorney said, "What we find is often what they say in the affidavit is a good deal different than what he actually said."
Still, one mom explained, Pellebon refused to leave her daughter alone. She said Pellebon told her "I might be nicer to him because he was a professor that counsels young adults in sex therapy and I might need him someday."
The mom said she reported Pellebon to police only later hearing of his arrest and his suspension as a professor at OU.
Pellebon teaches a course on Human Sexuality in the School of Social Work at OU. The course is described as an examination of sexual behavior, gender differences, and sexual values.
OU suspended Pellebon pending the investigation into the allegations. No formal charges have been filed in this case.
