OKLAHOMA CITY -- Christmas morning came a week early for hundreds of children in the metro. Renda Broadcasting partnered with Homeland and the Oklahoma City Fire Department to give away toys to families in need.
Saturday firefighters and radio station volunteers were on hand to pass out the presents.
"Look at this crowd, what else can I say? We are Santa out here today at KOMA and it's so much fun to be here, so much fun to do this," said Ronnie Kaye, 92.5 KOMA. "We just saw a vehicle come by, it had eight kids in it and they all got a toy and saying ‘Merry Christmas!' It's just what Christmas is really all about."
This is the second year the radio stations have partnered with Homeland and firefighters to give gifts to needy metro children.
