Emotional testimony was given Tuesday in the trial of two brothers charged with murder for a deadly hit-and-run.

Brandy Whitmire, the mother of Noelle New - who was killed in the crash - took the stand. Miranda Talley also testified Tuesday – she was walking with New and was seriously injured.

Whitmire spoke about finding out her daughter was dead through Facebook and how she still can't sleep at night.

When Talley took the stand, prosecutors asked her to give details from the crash.

She said New and she were walking along Gordon Road in Verdigris, heading towards QuikTrip, when they spotted a dark truck. Talley said, "When it first swerved we stopped walking and we were going to let it pass us before we continued to walk."

She testified the truck hit them and said, "I just remember laying in the field confused as to what had happened."

Talley went on to say, "One of them was pointing down at me as I recall, but I don't remember anything else…I made eye contact with Dakota."

Police said the crash happened between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m. on June 5, 2015, and that Gage Shriver was driving the Dodge pickup that struck New and Talley. Investigators said his brother, Dakota, was a passenger.

Miranda spoke about how she posted on Twitter that she had a lot on her mind that morning and New responded by offering a walk to QuikTrip.

"I feel like if I never posted that on Twitter none of this would've happened," Talley said.

The defense argued that Talley's story from that night changed a few times over the years, showing previous video testimony regarding exactly what she saw.
