Tropical Storm Harvey is having a major impact on travel across the country and for people right here in Green Country.
The Tulsa airport's online travel schedule shows a 10:08 a.m. United flight to Houston has been canceled, and that airline also canceled an 11:15 a.m. flight to that city. Southwest canceled flights to Houston Hobby at 3:10 and 7:35 p.m.
Bush Airport in Houston and Houston Hobby are closed until further notice.
To clarify, flights into/out of the Houston Airports are limited to humanitarian flights and first responder support for Hurricane recovery

All commercial operations at Hobby Airport have ceased until further notice. No flights in/out and roadways in/out are closed.

As of 5:30 AM on Tuesday, August 29th:
Tropical Storm Harvey continues to linger along the coastal bend area of Texas and is forecasted to last through Wednesday. Substantial rainfall, dangerous flooding, and high winds continue to threaten this part of the state, with the greatest accumulations occurring in the Houston area. Over 500 roadways in southeast Texas are currently experiencing flood conditions.
Travel is not advised in the affected areas due to rapidly changing water levels and unsafe driving conditions. Motorists who come upon a section of roadway that has water flowing across it should seek an alternate route. It is against Texas law to drive around barricades at flooded roads. And it’s never worth the risk. If you find yourself in need of shelter, please call 2 1 1.
Remember: Turn around, don't drown.
