Dean's Take: College Football During COVID-19

The Big 12 is still working collaboratively with the SEC and the ACC.

I'm told to expect the big announcement on the fate of college football season next week, but not this week. The ACC could jump early.

OU's Joe Castiglione tells me, "There's been no reason to rush. Why? Like today's baseball COVID outbreak, we deal in REAL time."

School presidents will make the final decisions using extensive data provided by Joe C and the athletic directors.

"We don't even have practice plans," he said.

Like Joe, I'm optimistic, but big issues, like contact tracing and state health decisions, could prove insurmountable.
