Tulsa fire officials are reminding drivers to slow down and pay special attention to emergency vehicles on the roads after a driver hit a fire truck.
Andy Little with the Tulsa Fire Department said crews responded to about 50 crashes since 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
He said last night a fire truck was hit by a car that went out of control on the icy roads.
"Firefighters could've easily been injured in that; thankfully they had the truck in the position to block them from that accident, but it could've gone a different way," Little said.
Little said the 50 wrecks the department responded to in Tulsa were reported crashes, but there were likely more that were not reported.
