Hank and Patty Brown are another husband-and-wife dynamic duo, chasing Oklahoma storms together for more than two decades.
Patty said, “In those non-intense times, it was actually good quality time for us when we had four kids.”
Hank said, “It’s a pretty intense experience when you’re close to a tornado. It’s pretty cool I get to share it with somebody I’ve been married to for 25 years.
Together, they've witnessed up close some Oklahoma's worst.
Hank said, “We saw a tornado on May 19 on Lake Thunderbird from just a few hundred yards away, and it was intense.”
Patty added, “We turn around and have to run into a gas station. The tornado is across the street. It sucks the door to the gas station open.”
That's what the couple said continues to motivate them.
Hank said, “It’s the perfect day if you see a tornado in the field and it’s not tearing up anything or not hurting anybody. When it gets toward populated areas, then it becomes a whole different element.”
