If anyone can give Jeromy and Ramie advice about storm tracking together, it’s News 9 Storm Trackers Val and Amy Castor.

Val said, “I would say, 'Ramie don’t panic. Just trust your husband’s decision.'”

Amy added, “That’s the worst advice you could give her,” while laughing.

Val and Amy have been chasing together since before 1998, which is even before they were married. Now six kids and 22 years later, they've mastered juggling Oklahoma weather and family.

“They’re very flexible. From the moment they were born, they’ve been in a weather family so we have just been flexible,” said Amy.

This year could be a busy one. It started out with a February blizzard, and we've already seen some severe weather this spring.

But if anyone is ready, it’s Val and Amy. Their skill and teamwork make them a vital part of our tracking team.

Val said, “When we’re out there chasing and we’re out there giving warnings for a dangerous situation, I picture mommas and daddies, families sitting there wondering ‘What are we going to do to keep our families safe?’ because we’ve got kids and I picture my kids in that. We’re just doing what we can to keep kids safe.”
