As of Tuesday morning, Tecumseh police were still searching for 60-year-old Darrel Lamb, who they said has Alzheimer's disease.
He disappeared early Monday near Prairie View Road and Bob Crouch Road. A Silver Alert was issued for him Monday afternoon.
People are in the area searching. People involved in the search and rescue effort are wearing reflective vests and have identification to let people know they are a part of a search and rescue team.
The Chickasaw Nation is also helping in the search effort flying a drone.
Lamb was last seen wearing Green Bay Packers sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt and had no shoes.
On Monday night, Tecumseh police had search teams on the water and on foot and had several dogs as well.
Tecumseh police Chief J.R. Kidney said they are giving their best efforts to get Lamb home safe.
"He is an Alzheimer's patient, that kind of stuff. Compared to someone missing a week ago, this is fresh. He went missing in the middle of the night, so we are gong to exhaust every effort we can to get him home safe," Kidney said.
There are several groups involved in the search effort. They are bringing in different resources including sonar technology.
