Oklahoma City police are looking for a suspect in connection with a homeless man's death.

The victim was possibly killed last Wednesday, and police said 27-year-old Slater Taylor’s body was found two days later. The victim’s body was discovered in an alley behind a grocery store near Southwest 44th and May Avenue. Police were notified just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The man's final moments were caught on the grocery store's security camera. The video time stamp Taylor was seen walking into the camera’s view was around 11 p.m.

The grocery store's manager said it appeared Taylor went to sleep in the alley. He said a couple hours later a person, possibly the suspect, walked to where the victim was sleeping. The person-of-interest stayed there several minutes and then left. Taylor was found dead two days later.

“He had injuries consistent with homicide,” said Master Sgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department. “There was very little to go on initially, again he was just left out there in the parking lot. There have been no suspects in this case and certainly this is one we need the public’s help on.”

The grocery store is in a very busy area with a lot of foot traffic and cars. Investigators believe someone saw or heard something that could help the case. Anonymous tips can be left by calling the homicide tip line at (405) 297-1200.
