Watch: Ben Sumner Discusses His Award-Winning Light Display 'Kringle's Christmas Land'

An award-winning Christmas lights display in Jenks is decking the halls in a magical way.

Kringle's Christmas Land was featured on a national TV show last year and won the Christmas light competition.

Dozens of animations and around 15,000 lights make up the display that takes you to a winter wonderland.

Ben Sumner hosts Kringle's Christmas Land from his home. He says Christmas decorating goes back four generations in his family.

It started with his great-grandfather, who won best display in Sapulpa in the 1950s.

Sumner's display was featured on the TV show "The Great Christmas Light Fight" last year. He says his family is the first from Tulsa to be on the show and first from Oklahoma to win.

He has more than 500 animations that he switches out each year.

They're hand-painted from different places all over the country from malls to displays that were featured in New York City.

Sumner calls it a life-sized storybook with Santa's Reindeer Barn, his workshop in action, and a nativity scene.

You can drive by the house or walk up to the displays and take photos at no cost.

Sumner says it's a way of giving back to the community and carrying on his family's legacy.

"I do it because I love spreading Christmas cheer. So, if you can come by here just for a few minutes and forget about what's going on in the world and be brought into that Christmas spirit, that's why I do it,” Sumner said. "I'd love for people to come out here, make this a new tradition for your family because I hope to keep this going as long as I'm alive. And I want to keep spreading Christmas cheer for years to come."

The lights are on every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. until New Year’s Eve.
