Sand Springs Family Escapes Early Morning House Fire

A family of four is safe after escaping their burning home overnight.

Sand Springs firefighters said the family woke up to smoke in their rooms around 1:30 a.m. in the Prattville area.

Firefighters said a man had to be treated for smoke inhalation after he went back into the house when he thought his child was inside.

Firefighters said his child made it out OK.

Firefighters said the house did not have working smoke detectors.

The fire is under investigation.
