OKC Firefighters Assisting In Search And Rescue Efforts Following Severe Storms

Search and rescue efforts have begun in Shawnee, where a tornado damaged homes and businesses Wednesday night.

Task Force One, which consists of members of the Oklahoma City Fire Department, deployed to the Blanchard area before heading to Shawnee.

The force has been in Shawnee since, aiding in rescue efforts and assisting the community.

Members of the task force said they are asking the community to be understanding and patient in the days to come.
