State Superintendent Ryan Walters unveiled a new video campaign Thursday troubling some Oklahoma teachers.

The 5-minute video titled "Who's in Charge of our Kids" shares bites from Walters on Fox News, sharing his beliefs for the future of Oklahoma education. Walters also shared his thoughts on the teacher unions in the state.

"I am afraid someone will get hurt because of that video. A teacher or another school representative,” an anonymous Oklahoma teacher said.

The teacher News 9 spoke to said she is scared for her life. She said Walters’ video cherry-picks the small percentage of teachers doing something harmful.

"I felt completely disrespected as a professional," the teacher said. "If I am trying to indoctrinate students, they would bring a pencil into class and do their homework."

The Oklahoma Education Association released a statement Thursday following Walters’ announcement.

“Oklahoma educators are exhausted from the constant barrage of attacks from the State Superintendent of Public Instruction,” the statement reads. “He is supposed to be a leader of public education in the state, but consistently looks to manufacture division between educators and parents.”

News 9 received a screenshot from an Oklahoma lawmaker of an email that was said to be sent to employees of the State Board of Education this morning, threatening to fire anyone who leaks information or documents to the press.

Walters did not allow time for questions after the meeting.

News 9 filed an open records request to see how much money went into creating the campaign.

The video, now deleted from YouTube, had a link to Precision Outreach, a marketing agency out of Houston, Texas.
