A new documentary aiming to eliminate stigma surrounding epilepsy is being created by an Oklahoma City metro nonprofit.
The nonprofit, the Whitten-Newman Foundation, partnered with the BAND Foundation to create the documentary "Curse of Stigma."
The documentary focuses on women from sub-Saharan Africa living with epilepsy, and the discrimination they've faced.
The full documentary will be featured at select international film festivals in 2023 and 2024.
